Nom Clarifications #2

If you nominated one of these, please reply and address the issue noted. Duplicate noms will be rejected without posting them in these posts. If you are wondering why a nom was rejected, check over the tagset, and something nearly identical should be there.

2020s
- Do you mean set in the 2020s? Made in the 2020s? Set in the near future in the later half of the 2020s?

Genre - Medieval
- Do you intend this as a genre or a setting?
- Is "Historical Setting" or "Genre - Historical Fiction" from the tagset sufficient?

Genre - Sitcom
- Is "Genre - Comedy" from the tagset sufficient?

Half-Sibling Incest
- Is "incestuous overtones" from the tagset sufficient?
- If not, would "Incest" suffice?

Heavy Angst
- "Angst" and "dark content" are already in the tagset.

military setting
- "Genre - Military Fiction" is already in the tagset.

mother-son incest
- Is "incestuous overtones" from the tagset sufficient?
- If not, would "Incest" suffice?

Police Procedural
- "Genre - Crime" and "Genre - Detective" are already in the tagset.

2020s nominator here. I nominated it that way because 1970s is in the tag set the same way. (Edit: So is 1960s) I’m particularly thinking of using it for Power Rangers SPD, which was made and aired in 2005 but is set in 2025. It’s not quite set in our world (because first of all, aliens) and it didn’t seem right to nominate Futuristic setting or Modern setting or the like because it was/still is the future, but its not really that far in the future anymore.

Edit: Also, I noticed both Personification of Death and Personified Death are in the tag set. I don’t know which one came first but one is a duplicate

Hi! I nommed the incest tags. "incestuous overtones" should be sufficient for the purposes of this exchange, I think.

Re: the Genre - Medieval nominator, whoever they are: I nommed "medieval era" and it was approved, so perhaps that's sufficient, as well?

Hi!

I nominated Military setting, but it's not exactly military fiction. You can reject it though, I have other freeforms for that canon.

I put police procedural as a separate tag (so not genre) to specify a specific type of show as they're not all overlapping. If a show is a detective and/or crime show it doesn't mean it's a police procedural

From Google: In television, "procedural" specifically refers to a genre of programs in which a problem is introduced, investigated and solved all within the same episode. These shows tend to be hour-long dramas, and are often (though not always) police or crime related

I'm down to cut down to procedural. For me it's the same energy as "monster of the week" shows. Let me know if you need examples :)

I didn't nominate any of the above, but just to clarify, as I'd like to nominate fandoms both created and set in past decades/eras, how should we nominate those. I'm inclined to go for, for example:

Setting/Creation - 1920s
